If you are new to lifting or are interested in learning how to lift and follow a program, this clinic was designed with you in mind. In this clinic you will learn about the importance of building muscle mass for the purpose of slowing down the aging process, preventing chronic disease associated with aging as well as achieving long term health. Of course, you will also learn proper lifting technique, how to fuel your muscle growth and how to constructively measure progress without a scale.
Our 6-Week Strength Training Clinic (6 x 60 minute sessions) introduces Women to Strength Training as a means of teaching them how to lift weights for the purpose of building and/or preserving their muscle mass, improving their body composition, increasing their strength and improving their overall health and longevity.
We meet for an hour once each week over the course of 6-weeks where we work on developing a custom strength training program based on your abilities, injuries and access to equipment.
Other Topics We Cover Include: Muscle Health & Function, Metabolism, Nutrition, Body Composition, Stress, Hormones & Supplements.
You will walk away understanding how to follow a program based on your level of commitment, what your daily caloric/macronutrient needs are based on your goals, how to manage your stress levels and balance your hormones, what your body composition currently is and what supplements are worth your money.
